She was tired, so the only thing she actually cooked for us was pancakes because it’s simple.”&#lt;/p&#gt;&#lt;br&#gt;&#lt;p&#gt;“Did you like pancakes?”&#lt;/p&#gt;&#lt;br&#gt;&#lt;p&#gt;“I’m not sure. Maybe I hated it. I felt like my life was like a pancake. But seeing the pancake now… makes me feel all choked up. I miss my mom.”&#lt;/p&#gt;&#lt;br&#gt;&#lt;p&#gt;Kaya then put a pancake on her plate. After putting a piece in her mouth, she felt the sweetness melt within her.
